Hoti: The next government will cancel all decisions of this government

The chief of the Democratic League of Kosovo Parliamentary Group, Avdullah Hoti, has held today the party's weekly conference, where state institutions have lost democratic legitimacy and have become unfunctional. He has stressed that the government does not have the majority in the Kosovo Assembly and therefore, has no civic and democratic legitimacy. [...]
He has stressed that the government does not have the majority in the Kosovo Assembly and therefore, has no civic and democratic legitimacy.
Its “decisions are not legitimate and will be annulled in the next Government. The ministers make decisions on personal interests, as was the case with the Agriculture Minister's decision, which continues to be in Government despite charges of mistreating Albanians during the war. Coalition deputies condition Government with their vote to realise their political interests. The prime minister deceives the Gorani community with the establishment of a new municipality, without any consultation with the Bosniak community and with the Albanian majority in Dragash. The PAN's three leaders were taken hostage by such people and therefore bore responsibility”, Hoti said.
According to him, even the functioning of the Assembly has been questioned, as hearings are not properly called and fail for lack of quorum.
“From 24 sessions that have been held so far, 20 of them have been pushed mainly for lack of quorum. Commission meetings fail for lack of quorum. In the absence of parliamentary majority, the ruling coalition blocks the issues in the Assembly, with no voter turnout. Ministers and prime minister do not appear in session and Parliamentary Commissions. So the government's democratic control by the Kosovo Assembly has failed. That's how only one totalitarian government works has stressed Hoti.
While talking about the tables being organised by political parties, Hoti has said that their goal is to exit the political crisis through setting the date of elections and agreeing on jobs that need to be carried out by institutions until elections so that reforms for European integration and other processes of national importance do not interfere.
Beyond these tables, we have given dialogue to get out of the situation before we use other actions not to allow any legitimate governance. But, it seems, the power ambition of the prime minister and Speaker of the Assembly is prevailing ahead of national interest and civic responsibility that should show the owners of institutions. Make it clear that Kosovo citizens do not allow undemocratic governance. The next table must clarify everything in this direction”, Hoti is done.
