The Government's plan to launch the transformation of the Security Force (FSK) to Armed Forces (FAK) has been dealt with in advance, without making constitutional changes. At the American Embassy in Pristina, they have said the transition should take place through constitutional changes, Koha Ditore writes today.
Such stance has been given on the day when the newspaper has reported that the government has now oriented efforts into a plan consisting of successful advancement of KSF capacities, within a period of 10 years.
A legal package affecting the KSF organ has already been forwarded to the prime minister's office and, after passing procedures, is scheduled to address the government cabinet. Once approved by the cabinet, it will be forwarded to the Assembly for a vote.
