The Government of Kosovo's request for financial coverage of energy losses for which it is not paid in the country's northern municipalities has negatively responded to the European Union. The request was submitted in March by the Ministry of Economic Development (MZHE), while the latter has announced that the same has not received positive answers, Koha Ditore writes today.
Now the government and the MZHE are seeking other forms of compensation, until the Energy Agreement is implemented, reached in Brussels in 2013 between Kosovo and Serbia.
“Bashka with the Office of Prime Minister and COSTT, as well as the regulator's office as responsible for determining tariffs and monitoring supply security across Kosovo's entire territory, we are working to find a transistential solution to Serbia's fulfillment of obligations, which are sent from the Brussels Agreement”, the MZE response said.
