Despite Serbia's insistence on unable to attend the Republic of Kosovo with its state symbols in the EU Open Day event in Brussels, such a thing has apparently failed.

Yesterday it was reported by the media in Serbia that it was the Serbian mission to the EU that has complained to the European Union about the issue of symbols of the Republic of Kosovo, and that their request was approved, thus removing any symbol of Kosovo's citizenship from this event.

But today, the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Brussels, through the official Twitter account, has distributed several photos from the base where Kosovo's local products are presented, and where state symbols are not lacking.

Kosovo's “State of the European Regions Committee ready to welcome EU Open Day visitors. Come and enjoy the wine from different regions of Kosovo and enjoy the traditionally tasty sacrifice”, writes in the official account of the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Brussels, Koha.net reports.

Yesterday, Serbian news agency “Beta” reported that all the symbols and signs with which Kosovo is represented as a state after a protest by Serbia itself in the direction of the EU have been removed.

But, however, Kosovo's border has been placed on Thursday and Friday under the “Day of Enlargement” on the Regions Committee and the same post office has been presented on Saturday, as the EU opens the doors of all its citizens' institutions on the eve of Europe Day.

Andrew Gardner, spokesman for the Regions Committee, has told Radio Free Europe in Serbian-Croat language that it has been found that the armies cannot present national flags. As organisers have explained, the promotional material offered to citizens belongs to the country or the region that is presented at the station.

The Serbian mission to the EU on Friday said two pans have been removed from the Kosovo post, where the coat and labeling of Kosovo's “were located. According to their announcement, organisers have assured that the “a will not stay on the same posts”, nor will it be on the occasion of keeping the day open. This came after the Serbian Mission earlier Friday announced that it has sent a protest note to European Regions Committee President “with the case of the use of state symbols of so-called Kosovo at the NCrenar festival for my region and its culture”.

As they said in the first announcement, Serbia's mission to the EU on the protest note has said it expects from the Rajons' Committee that “as a whole respect the position for neutrality towards Kosovo's status and Metohija from the EU, as well as remove any promotional document containing symbols of so-called Kosovo”.

But the spokesman for the Rajon Committee, Andrew Gardner, in a statement for REL in Serbian-Croat language has said that in the last two days in the environments of this committee, the “Days of enlargement” have been held on the Day of Open Doors at EU institutions.

In this case, the Rajons' Committee has offered European regions to be represented, but, as the REL writes, this institution has not accepted a protest note on the part of officials from Belgrade.

The Rajon Committee offer, from the Western Balkans, responded positively, among other things, Kosovo, Montenegro, Vojvodina and Brcko (city in Bosnia and Herzegovina) and their forces were presented by Thursday, and Saturday is the last day.

Our only “policy has been that national flags cannot be presented. This has been respected until the end of”, Gardner confirmed.

Organisers, under completely anonymous conditions, have clarified to the REL that it has come to some words from representatives of Belgrade who participated in the “Days of Enlargement on Thursday” event.

According to these sources, Belgrade's first warning concerned the lack of Serbian translation during the conference, where participants from Serbia have been told to use the Croatian language channel, while the second has been the extension of Kosovo.

The same sources have also confirmed that the initiative for supplies from European regions dates back months, and that “all embassies, including the Serb one, have been informed of the supplies and promotional materials that they will present”.

By Friday, no one from the Embassy has had any opposition or warning about the possibility of containing promotional materials from Kosovo”, told REL from the Rajon Committee.

Serbia this year has not had its extension under the manifestation of the Rajon Committee.
