Belgrade media: Russia wants military base in Serbia

Victor Kobankovski, Moscow expert on Balkan issues, as Belgrade's portal introduces it, says the Russian military base should be opened in Serbia in response to the American military presence in Kosovo and their base at Bondsteel. He “clears” that the Russian base in Serbia would be of multiple benefit for peace in the Balkans and that that basis would be crucial aid for Serbia to preserve Kosovo. Kolbanovski, who is director of the Balkan Centre for International Co-operation in Moscow, says the decision to that effect is now on politicians, broadcasts Nighttime.
Kosovo's “Platform for forming the Army shows that Americans and their Kosovo Albanians have passed all red lines. And for this reason, due to the formation of strategic military balance in the Balkans, Russia's military assistance to Serbia, respectively, is necessary with the permission and consent of the Serbian leadership. In this case, the efforts of President Vuciq and his associates to preserve Kosovo in Serbia's composition would have excellent prospects, behind them would be the true military force”, the Serbian portal quoted Kolubovski, who had previously introduced Russia television 24.
He has added that the Russian military base in Serbia would be crucial to the existence of the Serb people in the Balkans.
This scenario alone can prevent further aggression by Kosovo Albanians and other negative factors in these spaces, especially the Valley, the Tirana Paltform in Macedonia, decentralisation in Montenegro, as well as the unitary in Bosnia and Herzegovina“, it has added.
Commenting on this statement by Kobankovski, analyst Aleksandar Pavic has said Serbia can retain sovereignty and integrity only with the help of friendly Russia.
I agree with the idea of the need for the Russian base to exist in us. Russia is the only loyal and sincere military ally Serbia has. On the other hand, Serbia is the only country in Europe where Russia has open doors. There is no doubt that the goal of NATO's leading states towards Serbia is not only inconsistent but aggressive, so today we can neutralise them only with a powerful alliance with the Russians”, Pavic has correctly identified.
