Appeals Court Makes Decision for Former Obilic Chairman

Appeal has rejected Special Prosecutor Agron Bajrami's request and confirmed the Constitutional Court's decision in Pristina.
Former Obilic leader Mehmet Krasniqi had been acquitted of misusing office in May of the year by the Constitutional Court in Pristina.
Along with the former leader of innocent Obilics, eight former municipality officials have been declared, Xhavit Krasniqi, Hakki Raqi, Nazmi Gashi, Bajram Paloji, Ramadan Hashan, Hazi Dashi, Azem Spanca and Altin Prenqi, who had been released from the first instance.
Former Obilic leader Mehmet Krasniqi was accused of misuse of office or official authority in the period of 2012-2013, when projects for asphalting certain roads were carried out in the municipality leading him.
Lawyer's defender, Nike Shala, said the second instance has confirmed the first degree decision against his client, Hakki Raqi, releasing him from all charges.
The Constitutional Court has not found enough evidence and evidence to base well-based doubt the same in co-ordination has committed the criminal acts it has been charged with, said Shala.
Otherwise, the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo had filed charges on May 8th 2015 against Mehmet Krasniqi, Xhavit Krasniqi, Hakki, Emir Sopijani, Sami Kadriut, Nazim Gashi, Ramadan Hashan, Bajram Palloi, Bujar Alidema, Shpend Kelmendi, Basri Kqikun, Hasie Dush, Azem Spanca and Altin Preniqit.
In this trial process, former Obilic leader Mehmet Krasniqi was accused of misuse of office or official authority in the period of 2012-2013, when projects for asphalting certain roads were implemented in the municipality leading him.
Hakki Raqi, Xhavit Krasniqi, Nazmi Gashi, Ramadan Hashani, Bajram Paloji, Azem Spanca and Altin Prenqi were also charged for misuse of the official task.
The prosecutor for the criminal fraud accused Emir Soopyan, Sami Kadriun, Bujar Alidema and Shpend Kelmendi, and Basri Kqik again, while for duty fraud Hasnije Dushi, and Hakki Raqi. /Sound/
