The number of youths exposed to extremism decline

Minister Bytyqi has thanked the representatives of these two key international organisations for continuing support at all levels of education.
The minister stressed that, without support from international partners, MAST could not develop important processes for establishing quality in education. However, he stressed that Kosovo still needs partner support so that we can have an education of higher standards.
Speaking of preventing violent extremism and the role of education in this direction, Minister Bytyqi stressed that several steps have been taken. But, he stressed, there is still work to be done, while stressing that co-ordination of activities with partners will bring better results in awareness and prevention of this phenomenon, which may have consequences in Kosovo society, but also throughout the world.
Director USAID for Kosovo, James Hope stressed that co-operation with the Ministry of Education is early and fruitful. He said that along with this dictatorship good work has been done in education, while stressing that they are identifying educational areas which will be supported by the new 2023 strategy.
As for preventing violent extremism, Director Hope stressed that, according to data, the number of young people exposed to extremism has fallen, but stressed that the shared struggle for preventing this phenomenon must be continued.
