A new study suggests that people should marry between the ages of 28 and 32 if they do not want to divorce - at least in the first five years. The study was conducted by Nick Wolfgang (sociologist at the University of Utah).
According to this sociologist, the chances of getting married after 20 is greater, but studies say that early marriages lead to divorce, at least for the first five years. If you marry after 32 years, divorce chances are only 5%.
There are several reasons, Wolfgang says, why people should marry after age 28. First, individuals after that age have understood what they really want and are not confused as it could happen with people after 20s.
Second, they are more financially independent because after that age people start working and have created their own budget and thus take responsibilities more seriously.
Walfinger adds that relatively young marriages can also be linked to such factors as race, the family structure of origin, education, religious traditions, the place where they live, and so on. He says that one of the reasons young individuals are encouraged to marry is because of prejudice, but these marriages are likely to fail. /Health/
