At an academy organised today in honour of Dr. Hafir Shala, Wessel said, although two decades have passed, the Serbian state has still failed to account for its fate.
Chief Parliamentary Veselin said Dr. Hafir was the doctor of the first wounds of Kosovo Liberation Army fighters and his disappearance since the early days of the war was part of Serbia's special war, through which she was aiming to intimidate Dr. Hafir's colleagues to stand the front line. But this dark goal, Wessel added, was not realized.
The Kosovo Liberation Army had begun the war to finally free Kosovo. Its ranks increased in a short time. Tens of doctors responded to the call of freedom, following the example and courage of Dr. Haphire. The sacrifices were huge, but we did it: Kosovo won freedom, and Serbia was permanently expelled from Kosovo. Kosovo today is an independent and sovereign state, thanks to the superhuman sacrifice of our people, among whom was Dr. Hafir Shala”, the chief Parliamentary Veseli stressed.
He added that deep gratitude for the defeat and blood shed for freedom will exist forever and that there will never be stopped seeking justice for crimes committed by Serbia's genocide military over the Albanian population during the war.
There are thousands of our citizens whose fate Serbia must speak, show the truth about their disappearance and answer. Among them are Dr. Hafir Shala. Truth and justice never get old”, Chief Prime Minister Wessel said.
