VV with symbolic action: OEK is supporting institutions in Serbia's favour

The Vetevendosje movement has organised a symbolic action before the facility, where the international fair Pristina 2018 is being held, in protest of the participation of 70 Serbian companies and only one company from Albania.

Activists of this party in this case have placed in the areas of space where the business fair “is being held, not the normalisation of Serbia's economic hegemony in Kosovo”, as earlier this baner was not allowed by Kosovo Police to enter the facility.

The deputy of the Vetevendosje Movement, Arber Rexhaj, who has sharply criticised Kosovo's Economic Ode for factoring Serbia with products and goods in our country.

He said Serbia is constantly trying to undermine Kosovo's sovereignty and that it is unfair to favour Serbia, considering the circumstances the two states have.

Kosovo's economic agenda is favouring Serbian businesses, in there as this development takes place, 170 businesses from 70 businesses are Serbian, and given that Serbia in Kosovo exports nearly half a million euros, it tends to increase this figure to one billion. We, Serbia, are still characterised, which is always aiming to damage Kosovo in terms of sovereignty and territory, as well as internationally. The Vetevendosje movement considers that since these relations are such, we should not as a state give so much favour to Serbia”, Rexaj said.

He has accused OEK of supporting the country's institutions to give space to the Kosovo economy in Serbia's favour.

Rexhaj has also hit the Kosovo Economic Ode, saying she is making fun of Albanian businesses, not informing them of their participation in the fair, while Serbian businesses have been informed over time.

This, which was developing as Ode in some form, is conveying the institution towards economic favouring Serbia. Until these could inform Serbian businesses over time, the question adds why they haven't informed Albanian businesses, or this is a fiction, which Oda is saying. I think it is unfair that Kosovo's economy is collected from Serbian products and goods, while Kosovo will not give space to Albania and vice versa”, Rexaj said.

Rexhaj has said Kosovo businesses should participate in the fair held in Novi Sad to watch their performance. But, according to him, Serbia will accept a small number of Kosovo companies, just to say they have participated.

Otherwise, over 170 companies out of which 1 is from Albania and 70 from Serbia are participating in the Pristina 2018 fair.

The huge difference in the participation of companies from Albania and those from Serbia has sparked major reactions in Kosovo, and there has even been a demand for boycotting the fair.

Albania's Ambassador to Pristina, Kemal Minxhozi, has said Albanian businesses have not been informed in time of participating in the fair.
