North Korea's Korea Kim Jong Un said his country no longer needed to conduct nuclear tests or intercribing ballistic missile tests because it had completed its goal of developing nuclear weapons, Central Corporation's Central Agency (KCNA) said.
Officials from North Korea said they would create an appropriate international “environment for their economy, which would facilitate the close contact and active dialogue” with neighbouring countries and the international community.
It was the first time Kim directly directed his position on North Korean nuclear weapons programmes planned with South Korean President Moon-Jae in the next week and with US President Donald Trump in late May or early June.
“The northern base of the DPS nuclear test will be disbanded to ensure transparency of the nuclear test break-up”, KCNA said after Kim called on Friday a plenary session of the ruling Workers' Central Committee, reports “Reuters”, Periscopi broadcast.
The official name of the North is the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
The north bank has agreed to suspend all nuclear tests and close test bases. This is good news for North Korea. Let's look forward to our summit,” wrote US President Donald Trump on his Twitter.
Two Asian heads of state, China, have received this news positively, respectively. /Periscopi/
