Barbara Bush died Wednesday, age 92.

And in an interview for the American media, Bush said his mother didn't forget to tease him even when she was in her last few days, when he and his wife, the first lady Laura Bush, visited her in her hospital room at Houston earlier this month.

The 43rd US president said his father and one of his brothers, Neil Bush, were on Barbara Bush's bed when she died.

Bush said he called his mother earlier Wednesday.

Bush added that his mother relied on her faith in her last days.

She told me: “I'm not afraid of death. I know there is a God”, Bush said.
