Russia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokeswoman Maria Zaharova has charged EULEX has been aware that it will be arrested by the chief of the so-called Office for Kosovo in Serbia's Government, Marko Djurovic, following its illegal entry into Kosovo territory, and has so quietly approved it.
“International Forces in Kosovo, based on Resolution 1244, have the main responsibility for the security of the non-Albanian population”, Zaharova said, adding that exactly E. USLEX “has given silent approval” for Djuric's arrest.
Marko Djurovic, though denied permission to enter Kosovo, was provisionally introduced to Mitrovica to participate in a Serb organisation, following what was arrested, handcuffed to Pristina and then expelled from Kosovo.
