German MP of the CDU (Merkel Party) has again spoken of the EC's recommendation to open negotiations with Albania. According to him, Albania is not yet ready and that the decision to open negotiations is premature.
“First and foremost, the problem is corruption and the high level of organised crime” said Gunther Krichbaum, who holds the post of chairman of the European Committee in Bundestag. Meanwhile, Krichbaum's critical stance on Tirana's maturity has made the CDU politician an objective for Albanian media, which are close to Prime Minister Edi Rama. Among other things, Krichbaum was charged in our gates for acting in the interest of Russian President Putin.
