Democratic League of Kosovo MP Driton Selmanaj has reacted to the appointment of Shpend Maxhuni at the post of director of the Kosovar Intelligence Agency (AKI).
Selmanaj has said that with Maxhuni's appointment, in the post of AKI director Thaci and Haradinaj are showing they are not willing to uncatch the state in that way, the capture of the state is being consolidated.
“Why does the Progress Report say Kosovo institutions are caught. Two hours ago, the president, along with the prime minister, appoints Shpend Maximun director of AKI, we wanted Maxhun to be fired because of his involvement in the arrest of the gilensists and what happens Thaci and Haradinaj tell us that let's think we're going to uncramble the state, but the capture of the state is consolidating”, he said during the Kosovo Assembly session.
Maxhu had earlier been the general director of the Kosovo Police, while he will replace Driton Gashi in the post of AKI director who resigned following Haradinaj's request for dismissal in connection with the case of six gylenists.
