Cena and Bella had appointed May 5 as the day of their marriage, but they completed the connection just weeks before their wedding.
The 40-year-old has distributed a photograph of a broken heart and a saying by Walt Whitman: “We were together. Forget the rest”.
The split comes a year after they celebrated their engagement in Wrestlemania 3350. All the time, Cena has looked happy next to her 34-year-old partner, while the main reason for their separation is believed to have been the unwillingness of the WWE star to bear children.
Even though Cena has made it clear all along that she doesn't want to have children, Nikki has been hoping that she would convince her to change her mind. But this does not seem to have happened.
