The report on the six Western Balkan countries proposed opening negotiations for Macedonia as well, Periscopi writes.
While, the report highlighted Kosovo's impasses, especially in the area of rule of law, as well as in influencing politics on the right and the composition of boards.
Thaci's complete wish:
I enjoy the European Commission's proposal for opening negotiations with Albania on membership in the European Union.
To that end, I congratulate the citizens of Albania, President Ilir Meta and Prime Minister Edi Rama, on reforms and good governance.
Enlargement of the European Union and the integration of the entire Western Balkans into the European family are the right way to boost stability and security in the Balkans.
I also welcome the European Commission's proposal for opening negotiations with Macedonia.
Their decision strengthens the European perspective for our entire region. HTH
