The Kosovo government approved the country's new Criminal Code. In this code, 19 articles have been revised in acts related to corruption and organised crime.
The code now also envisions that public officials who commit criminal acts cannot exercise any position in the period of ten years.
Earlier, the ban on public office for those who committed criminal acts was 5 years.
