Pep Guardiola has denied the referee's insult during the elimination of Manchester City by the Champions League, following two quarterfinal matches lost to Liverpool, claiming he was punished with red card only for protesting a banned goal.
When asked what he said to Lahoz, Guardiola stated: “I said it was a goal. Milner passed it to Larry. I told him he was a goal and that's why he sent me out. It's different to go with score 1-0 in between the two playing parts and the 2-0. In these matches, the impact is so great”, Guardiola said.
