The AKR has offered the position of Interior Affairs Minister Florian Qehaje, the expert on security issues. Qehaja has confirmed that Behgjet Pacolli's party has contacted him, but that he is considering the offer and that he has not decided yet.
Flamur Sefaj may not have thought that the firm cast off for revocation of residence permits for six jihadists would be costing the interior minister's dismissal for seven months, even his departure under investigation.
Sefaj's newly launched political career, the unknown minister, was crowned with a spectacular week, and then fired. And, Behgjet Pacolli's party, it's close to deciding that the post of interior minister I give to another person who has not been directly part of politics or AKRU.
The Express also spoke briefly about Qehaye, and he indicated that the AKR has contacted him about the position of the interior minister.
“Nothing confirmed. I've been contacted, but I'm still looking at”, Qehaja said briefly.
Qehaja is director of the Kosovar Centre for Security Studies and is author of several security scriptures.
Florian Qehaja is the son of the former Albanian general in Yugoslavia's People's Army, Ramadan Qehaja.
