Council of Europe President Donald Tusk will visit the Western Balkan region next week, including Kosovo.
His visit will begin in Albania on 24 April, from which it will continue in Montenegro, Serbia, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia.
Speaking at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, Tusk said he would convey the message to the region that the EU will continue to be the most reliable partner and the biggest investor.
“Samim (for the Western Balkans in Sofia) must confirm the region's European perspective and, what is most important, should improve ties with the region and” within it, said Tusk.
The Sofia summit, warned to be held on May 17th, will be the first summit between the EU and the Western Balkans after 15 years. /rel/
