Kate was taken to hospital this morning, to “St Mary” of Paddington, in London, brought the new Prince to life just a few hours later, without complications.
The baby is the fifth in line for the crown as the sixth great grandson of the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh results, as is Prince George's brother and Princess Charlotte's brother.
A Kensington spokesman later announced to the press:
The Cambridge Duke gave birth to the boy at 11:01. The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, was also present. The duke and the boy are in good health. The queen, Duke of Edinburgh, Prince of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry, and members of both families are informed and overjoyed about this news”.
