Following a six-month surveillance operation by the command of the fight against the organised crime of the Metropolitan Police in London, British justice has sentenced to 81 years in total, an Albanian criminal group dealing with the importation and distribution of heroin and cocaine in England.
The value of the drug seized, not what may have been trafficked earlier, amounted to over two million pounds. Drugs came to England in trucks with Macedonian license plates and Macedonian Albanian drivers, who were apparently on surveillance by law enforcement agencies.
They, after handing over drugs, took back large amounts of money “cat”, in several hundred thousand pounds, the product of their criminal activity.
After the arrests, detectives managed to capture 50kg of first-class drugs, while it all started in January last year, when the first exchange of 7kg of heroin was detected.
Two of the Albanians and one Englishmen, members of the criminal network, pleaded guilty, while three others challenged the guilt in court, which was pronounced sentences of 18 to 22 years in prison, wrote Tch.
The chief detective of the Organised Crime Command in the Metropolitan Police, Samantha Cailes, says the penalties reflect the level of criminality of the defendants and should be seen as a restraining measure for those involved in the importation and distribution of first-class drugs to Britain”.
