Through a media communique, this network has reacted to the institutions of justice, demanding that they continue their investigation into the murder of Donjeta Pajasitaj.
This is the complete communique:
We remind you that the deceased had been declared extinct for six weeks, while her lifeless body was found on the mountains of Strelc village in December 2015. At the time, RGK and Lobi of Gender Equality had reacted, calling on justice institutions to investigate the case and find the late killer.
RGK and Kosovo society in general are witnesses to the failures of the justice system in whiteling cases of women and girls killing. Hence, through this reaction RGK again urges justice institutions to continue investigating the assassination of Donjeta Pajazit. RGK believes that only with fair decisions can justice bodies influence the reduction of violence, respectively. Establishing institutional responsibility during treatment of gender-based violence will increase reporting these cases, ensuring that there is justice, protection and rehabilitation for cases of gender-based violence.
