A Model X company car crashed into a street barrier that was covered by fire on March 23rd, reports “BBC”, report Periscope.

Tesla says the 38-year-old driver, who died shortly after this incident, had activated the pilot several seconds before the accident.

“The driver was warned through several messages before the accident,” said in the vehicle company's statement.

Tesla's Autopilot system has a lot of what a fully autonomous machine can do. It can hold back, accelerate, and guide itself under certain conditions.

In 2016 a Tesla driver was killed in Floridia because his car failed to recognize a passing truck.

The California accident comes at a difficult time for autonomous technology./Periscopi/
