Kosovo police, along with the Food and Veterina Agency (AUV), have confiscated from the “company Europa Ida” from Rahoveci nearly 1800kg of expired chicken, writes Koha Ditore today.
The same company had imported over 60 thousand pounds [60 thousand kg] of meat from Belgium in 2016, a third of which had been seized by the Kosovo authorities and destroyed because it posed a threat to consumers. Eventually, Belgian authorities have also uncovered the scandal with broken meat.
It has been confirmed that several European countries, including Kosovo, have been affected by this scandal.
This company's raids and meat seizures have confirmed to the newspaper AUV spokesman Lamir Thaci.
