The Specialised Prosecutor's Office reports that Ip's mandate will be extended until the appointment of a new Specialised Prosecutor.
He has the same authorities of a specialised prosecutor, and there will be no interruptions in the work of SPS in any respect.
Special Tribunal Prosecutor Davy Schwendiman concluded his mandate, while instead, with full prosecutor's rights, he will replace Kwai Hong Ip, who was deputy to Schwendiman and task leader since his departure announced months ago.
So the special work will continue without any delay, although Schuenjman has officially completed his term after three days.
