Minister of Internal Affairs and deputy chairman of Serbia's government, Nebojsa Stefanovic, has declared he has made the decision to suspend the handball match between Serbia and Kosovo for age groups until 20
“I have made the decision to have the Romanian team handball qualifying tournament suspended between the representative of Serbia and Kosovo”, Stevovic declared, broadcast Koha.net.
He has said the qualifying match will not be held in the afternoon as planned, that he had consulted with the Sport Minister in advance, and that the prime minister and Serbia's chairman has announced the decision.
Could we arrange for this match to be held? Whatever. What would be the prize? The conflict between our people and the police over things they don't believe in and that are contrary to our interests. That's why we're not willing to have the police beat up people to hold the game, which is failing with our positions”, he has declared.
