Ukrainian police and protesters who had set up a tent near the parliament in Kiev have crashed, hurting 6 protesters and four official policemen.
Police have used grenades and smoke bombs in the direction of the camp where protesters stood, arresting 50 of them after resisting calls, reports “DW” Transmission Periscope.
Andrey Krishchenko, head of Kiev police, said the officers had conducted an investigation over another crash Tuesday, in which 15 policemen were injured.
Ukrainian media have reported that police were ordered to remove the camp, in which supporters of opposition leader Mikhail Saakashvili were placed.
Protesters have demanded that the country establish a national anti-corruption court.
Saakashvili, former head of Georgia, was expelled from the country in February and stripped of Ukrainian citizenship.
The opposition leader was once a close ally of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, but has since become one of his most vocal critics./Periscopi/
