According to him, the privatisation project of the KEK Distribution and Supply has been trumpeted as energy savior. However, at Express Interview on KTV, Hoxha has said that this project is emerging to be completely different.
“The main salvation for the energy system is the removal of KEDS”, he said, adding that for this evacuation Kosovo must pay compensation “for which we are also used to”.
He has blamed the government for taking control of the energy system.
According to Hoxha, the contract between state and American company “Contour Global” for construction of the thermal power plant “New Kosovo” is shameful.
The contract for New Kosovo is a shame. If an hour megawatt costs more expensive than an imported one is absurd. Let it go if we get into other trouble to produce a megawatt that will cost up to 80 euros. Whoever is more rational has had to contain this point and say it exceeds the possibility of poor Kosovo. We think the population should be conscious. It's come to sign the contract without even talking to citizens. That's like selling my uncle's land without asking his nephew”, he said.
