Following the expulsion of 6 Turks reacts to LDK: Urgent Reporting in Parliament

To the expulsion of 6 Turkish citizens from Kosovo authorities, the Democratic League of Kosovo has also reacted, which has said I will call the Minister of Interior, Foreign Minister and Justice in urgent reporting.

The expulsion of Turks, the LDK has considered the constitution a violation.

LDK's full reaction:

International conventions from the human rights field are part of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo. Any bypassing these conventions is also violation of the Kosovo Constitution.

The LDK will invite to urgent reporting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Minister of Justice to announce the Assembly concerning the deportation of 6 foreign citizens.

Only full respect of international human rights instruments can serve to advance bilateral reports with friendly states.

The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) expresses its concern with the situation created in Kosovo, in recent days, when the significant lack of institutional co-ordination has been introduced.

The LDK calls on carriers of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo to interrupt the practices of using institutions to handle their scores.

Institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, such as institutions of an independent and democratic state, must strictly implement the country's Constitution and all actions should take into agreement even with obligations stemming from international law and international conventions.

The case of the arrest and extradition of 6 Turkish citizens requires careful treatment due to the specific nature of this case, but also due to doubts about the motive for bypassing legal procedures applicable to cases of extradition of foreign citizens.

The LDK, as always, remains committed to making its contribution towards institutional stability and maintaining and cultivating the pro-Western spirit of the Republic of Kosovo.
