In a conversation with Stoltenberg, Erdogan briefed NATO Secretary of the latest developments in the Turkish military operation on Syria's Africa region.
Erdogan added that Turkey will continue to adhere to the values and spirit of the NATO alliance, while Stoltenberg said Turkey is an important and major NATO ally.
During the conversation, Erdogan also welcomed Stoltenberg's birthday.
The Turkish president also spoke with his Ukrainian ally Petro Porosenko, reports “Hurriyet”, Periscopi broadcast.
The two leaders discussed bilateral ties, also discussing improving economic trade, tourism and defence.
Crime developments and the issue of the perpetrators were also part of the discussion.
Since the prosecution of the Crime, the Tatar minority has been disappointed with the crackdown on them, including arbitrary arrests and detentions./Periscopi/
