Another condition is expected to have the Kosovo Government for visa liberalisation for its citizens.
Fighting crime and corruption will be one of the challenges this country will face, and for this the Ministry of Justice has finalised on Tuesday with changes to the Criminal Code, which contains stricter penalties for criminal acts dealing with corruption and terrorism.
So far, Kosovo has proved it has failed to fight this phenomenon, according to the Kosovo Democratic Institute.
The draft also contains new provisions for preventing, investigating and pursuing human trafficking, including sexual exploitation of children.
Organs that have been tasked with dealing with fighting crime and corruption have not brought sufficient results, according to lawyer Bajram Tmava
So far, there has been a politicisation in the justice system, politics has appointed chief prosecutor and judge in Kosovo, so this has contributed not to the elimination of these phenomena.
Contacted by Tribuna Channel, the Justice Ministry has not commented on the new draft with changes to the Penal Code.
Days ago, Ambassador Greg Delaway said important decisions must be made for reform of anti-corruption and justice sector troops.
