“This is the first adoption of a US-licensed satellite control to provide global services using a new generation of satellite technologies in low orbit,” said the Federal Communications Commission in a statement.
The system was proposed by the private SpaceX company, known as the Intervention Exploration Space, will use 4, 425 satellites, the FCC said, says “Reuters”, Periscopi broadcast.
FCC chief Ajit Pai said in February that the SpaceX project was approved, saying that “satellite technology could help many Americans living in rural countries or in difficult places to serve where optical fiber cables do not reach the target. ”
The Federal Aviation Administration said on Wednesday that SpaceX plans to launch Falcone with 9 rockets, on April 2nd at the Day of Carnegie, Florida. “Raceta will hold a communications satellite,” said FAA.
Musk, who is also founder and executive chief of the Tesla Inc electric car factory, said in 2015 that SpaceX was scheduled to start a satellite internet business that would help finance a future town in Mars.
SpaceX wants to create a “global communication system” that Musk has compared “conversion of the internet into space.” It would be faster than traditional internet connections, the groundbreaking company said. /Periscopi/
