According to them, voters have mandated them to prove to be a powerful voice in the Assembly, which will try to correct political developments in the country for good.
But analysts on the other hand are seeing Vetevendosje's role in fade.
Following numerous resignations, including that of former Chairman Visar Ymer, vice-chairmen and party secretary, the split of Vetevendosje into two groups, as if it was legitimised by Albin Kurt's election to chair the party.
Kurt's election was boycotted by her group of officials who had previously resigned.
For the fact that there were even Vetevendosje deputies among the resignations, such developments could lead to the creation of two Vetevendosje parliamentary groups in the Kosovo Assembly.
But, currently, deputies of this political subject say that despite recent differences, all Vetevendosje deputies should have common positions.
MP Arberie Nagavci told Radio Free Europe, that all Vetevendosje deputies should remain faithful to the vote of citizens and supporters of this movement.
“Each of the MPs who are part of the Vetevendosje Movement Parliamentary Group has responsibilities towards their voters. Each of us has competed with the Movement programme and I wish and hope that until the end we will fulfil the promises we have given to citizens and work for the general benefit of the Republic of Kosovo”, Nagavci said.
And Vetevendosje's other deputy, Shqipe Pantina, who has resigned from leadership positions in the party, says it is still early to talk if the group of those who resign will be divided into a Parliamentary Group in the Assembly.
If you make the decision yourself, without the number of deputies being determined, you cannot decide. There are still some undefinated issues. Even my personal opinion is that we who have resigned from the structures should continue the journey together”, the Pantina deputy told Radio Free Europe.
Meanwhile, Albert Krasniqi from the Kosovo Democratic Institute told Radio Free Europe, that the split of Vetevendosje Movement into two groups of MPs would weaken this political subject.
This would harm the Vetevendosje Movement, and even the power as the largest parliamentary group would be lost, regardless of whether groups are formed, and if they have the same positions, yet the power of arguments, all those causes that want to push to the Parliament, will be less powerful<1>, Krasniqi says.
Publicising private conversations between Vetevendosje deputies, where there were offensive expressions directed at Albin Kurti, featured clashes at the party.
Following the election of Albin Kurti back at the party's helm, MP Glauk Konjufca and Pristina chairman Shpend Ahmeti have been selected by the Head of the Vetevendosje Movement to negotiate between the two groups within the Movement in an effort to find a solution to the problems and divisions that have included this political subject. / REL
