Juan Carlos Cruz, a victim of abuse in the Catholic Church, said on Monday he had informed Pope Francis that in 2015 Bishop Juan Barroa tried to cover the sexual abuse of the shamed priest, Fernando Karadiva, rejecting Pope's claims, reports “DW” Transmission Periscope.
Cruz said he described Barrow's role in the abuse “in a very detailed letter delivered to him (Papa) by Cardinal [Sean] O'Malley, the principal pope's advice on sexual abuse.
“It is unfortunate to hear that lie and say that they never told him anything, that he never took anything from the victims when he had a detailed description of all the facts,” said Cruz./Periscopi/
