Alternative Speaker Mimoza Kusari Lila, along with MP Dardan Sejdiu, has today collected signatures for the initiative of a plenary session of the Kosovo Assembly, where she is seeking to establish an investigative commission that would deal with decisions on the appointment of senior civil servants to state institutions.
Prior to the start of today's solemn session, where Slovenian President Borut Pahor was addressing Kosovo Assembly deputies Mimoza Kusari-Lila was seeking support from opposition MPs for initiating a parliamentary session.
Under the initiative of MP Mimoza Kusari-Lila and Dardan Sejdiu, backed by another 13 deputies, has also been called by the head of the Parliament to be introduced as a proposal to the plenary session ʹFrimimation of the Independence Commission concerning the appointment of senior civil servants in the State Administration.
The initiative is supported by several deputies from the Vetevendosje and LDK Movement. Dardan Sejdiu from the Vetevendosje Movement has published the reasoning of this initiative, along with the names of 13 deputies who have so far supported the initiative.
“Flyly, it must be distributed that major shortcomings in these appointments and the lack of will for reform in public administration, as also assessed by the EU can cost Kosovo the loss of direct budgetary assistance in many of our EURO 75 million state”, has written Dardan Sejdiu in his Facebook profile.
