Following the expulsion of the Kosovar Agency of Accreditation from the European Quality Security Record in Higher Education (EQAR), the Union of the Kosovo Students has reacted (USK).
In their response, the USSK says that “we are concerned and we feel insecure with the prospect of our schooling, as the Kosovo Accreditation Agency (AKA) is excluded from non-recognitionary Qualiance Register for High Education (EQAR), for the fact that now this means that our programmes do not have international accreditation and, in turn, may present the first problems for Kosovo students who want to continue studies in the University of Europe<3x>.
The USS says that if it proves that the expulsion of the AKA from ECAR was made due to the dismissal of the board on the part of the current education minister, then this is done with concern, because the ministry, instead of working to increase the quality and international affirmation of Kosovo education, has done the opposite to political interference, with csyrast, directly damaging Kosovo's university education in the” plan.
The USS responds sharply to this intervention and urgently requires clarification by the minister in this regard.
We, as representatives of students throughout the Republic of Kosovo, seek and let the Government and the Ministry of Education know that they will take steps and present their opinion about all these decisions that are seriously damaging education and science by acting on political and party basis, with daily and thoughtless policies”.
“We as students do not agree with these political interference in education issues, and of course we will respond to it in line with decisions we will take in the future like Union”, said in response.
