We regret to inform you that journalist Agim Binaku was separated from his life. He died at 62 after a short illness. Agim Binaku was deputy director of RTV 21's information programme and editor-in-chief of RTV 21, of which was from his beginning almost two decades ago.
Agim Binaku, above all, was the most prominent name of sports journalism, not only in Kosovo and in the entire Albanian space, but even wider. It implemented thousands of shows, live broadcasts, documentaries, coverages, interviews with major Kosovo sports names, but also world ones.
In the '70s and '80s, he worked on Radio Pristina, running the popular show “Sports Fun afternoon” in the golden age of Kosovo athletes. In the 1990s he was founder and editor-in-chief of the first sports magazine in Kosovo “Sports reflectors” and “Top sport”.
Agim Binaku was honoured in Tirana with the nationwide award of sports journalism “Anton Mazreek”, and was honoured with a series of gratitude for his work for over four decades in sports journalism.
