Kosovo's Declaration of Independence and the opinion of the International Court of Justice today are promoted in books.
Top Kosovo state figures, Parliament Speaker Kadri Wessel, Kosovo Foreign Affairs Minister Behgjet Pacolli, and prominent international community figures who have helped Kosovo towards the independence process were participating in this promotion.
In this case, Foreign Affairs Minister Behgjet Pacolli thanked them for the contribution made to achieving Kosovo independence.
He said that declaring independence is one of the important events of his life.
I believe you see on our faces that this is a wonderful day. Many times, I almost always recall memories of the February 17th 2008 extraordinary session, when the Parliament declared the independence of the Republic of Kosovo. It's one of the most important events in my life, and it's gonna be the most important, exciting event in my life. I am convinced that these emotions have been shared by my 120 colleagues who have signed the independence of Kosovo”, he said.
He added that this book had been needed because it contains the details of that session, talks, and everything else about that day. The Declaration of Independence” and the other book promoted today is also the Kosovo Independence Certificate, as Pacolli calls it, otherwise titled as “Kosovos Index”, by the JND.
Kosovo Parliament Speaker Kadri Wessel has added his impressions of books, naming them extraordinary books for the history of our people.
Albania's former president, Sali Berisha, through a speech, has demonstrated his gratitude to the people of Kosovo, viewing it as a Stoic and invincible people.
May we jointly express an unlimited gratitude to all who made it possible today to proudly celebrate this great day for Kosovo, but this is a great day for Albania -- this is a great day for regions because Kosovo's freedom has made this region better than ever. It is also a big day for the West and for those who invested, our friends”, Berisha said.
Former Kosovo President Fatmir Sejdiu said it is a good reason for Kosovo to have the document of that important day.
The “is a good parallel to this big holiday that Kosovo has to give even important documents of Kosovo developments, so I want to thank both the Ministry and all the people who have worked”, Sejdiu said.
Stipe Mesic, former prime minister of Croatia, sees Kosovo's independence as something deserved.
He has particularly welcomed former Albanian President Sali Berisha and former Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davotuglu for helping the people of Kosovo gain freedom.
Now after ten years, we are all here together to celebrate Kosovo's independence. Why do people want freedom? So that there may be its resources, which we all have now expected and achieved, the independence of Kosovo... The people of Kosovo have deserved freedom”, Mesic said.
Former boss of UNMIK has expressed satisfaction with the invitation it has been made to participate in marking the 10th anniversary of Kosovo's independence note, saying that a significant progress has been achieved over the years.
“I would like to congratulate you on the progress achieved in the last ten years and that significant steps have been taken in European integration, and I count that the current leadership will continue working for Euro-Atlantic integration, including good neighbourhood with all neighbours”, Ruecker said.
Former Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has said that Kosovo's stability is important for the stability of the region.
Kosovo's dear friend, it is my pleasure to be here on the occasion of marking the anniversary of Kosovo's independence. Kosovo, Turkey, and all Balkan countries have a common history, a fate and a common future. Kosovo's independence was not only important for the people of Kosovo, but also for the stability of the entire Balkan region. We are proud that Turkey was the first country to recognise Kosovo's independence ten years ago, and today I am proud to be here to mark the 148x1> anniversary, he said.
