Court pronounces 58 years in prison for killing police officer Shemsie Gashi

The Constitutional Court in Pristina has pronounced 58 years in prison to the seven accused of killing police sergeant Shemsy Gashi, while one of the accused has been acquitted.
Indictee Vesel Djindovci has been sentenced to nine and a half years in prison on charges of serious murder, as well as illegal weapons; Metom Bayqi has been sentenced to six years in prison; Ramadan Gashi, accused of pushing hard murders, as well as illegal weapons were sentenced to 25 years; Muj Gashi was sentenced to 3 years in prison for illegal illegal armed offence, while acquitted of criminal offence in serious murder; Robert Gashi has requalified criminal acts from assistance in failing to report criminal acts and was sentenced to 3 years in prison, while released from illegal weapons prosecution; Vesel Bulnjak was sentenced to 7 years and 6 months, while Adonis Gashi was sentenced to 4 years in prison.
The accused Agron Gashi has been acquitted of charges since, according to the court, the prosecution has failed to argue with evidence that he is the head of the criminal offence in serious murder.
And the court of special decision has decided to permanently seize the playful items with which the commission of the criminal work has been made available.
Economic crimes police superior Shemsy Gashi was killed on March 25th 2015 in Lagen “matti” of Pristina, while for his murder the Constitutional Prosecutor in Pristina accused eight people.
Ramadan Gashi, Muja Gashi, Agron Gashi, Adonis Gashi, Robert Gashi and Vesel Bnjaku are accused of planning Shemsi Gashi's murder, while Vesel Djindovci and Kujim Beqi was charged in his murder.
In the indictment it is known that for Gashi's murder, Vesel Djindovci and Mejim Beyqi were promised 5 thousand euros.
The indictment reveals that Gashi's house had been attacked a month before his assassination, but the sergeant had not announced the attack to the police because he wanted private problems to keep him from official duty.
At last session, Vesel Djindovci had regretted the murder.
