Apple users worldwide spent a record $300m on the purchase or download of apps and games from App Store on New Year's first day of 2018.

“We are satisfied with the response to the new App Store, especially now that people have seen so many new apps and games”, said Phil Schiller, vice chairman of Apple for the World Marketing.
