Accrediting agency excluded from ECAR because of Prime Minister Haradinaj

European Quality Security Register for High Education [ ECAR has decided to exclude Kosovo Agency for Accreditation [ ALKA] due to the standard of institutional independence. All this comes from a decision so far unreasoned by Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj for the dismissal of the AKA board, on October 2, 2017.
As the ECAR Committee reports, they have contacted the U.S. minister on October 6th. to get additional information about the decision made. Minister Bytyqi himself had explained that the decision to sack the AKA board was made based on request by Prime Minister Haradinaj.
The minister further could not even explain how the new members of the board were elected in question, as Periscope follows.
The standard which Ramush Haradinaj has broken says: “Agencys must be independent and act autonomously. They must have full responsibility for their actions and for the results of these operations without the intervention of third parties. ”
The former chairman of the AKA board has reacted to that, Mr. Brian Rex, who has expressed his regret for what happened today. He illustrated this through a picture of a red card given by a football judge.
Meanwhile, O has reacted. The RCA [the Education Growth Organisation], which has titled its response “to the prime minister to answer”.
