The car is not a luxury now, but it is a need of almost everyone in the world.

The auto industry has experienced incredible growth over the past two years. In the United States alone, more than 30 car brands compete for more than 17 million cars and trucks sold annually.

Worldwide, there are even more brands that sell everything from small economic cars to millions of dollars ' worth.

But the highly consolidated industry -- a small part of large corporations has almost all the major car brands in the world.

This graph doesn't include every car company and every brand. Instead, the amounts of influence and power on the market are thought to be visually presented. As a result, names known as McLauren, Mazda, Subaru and Tesla are not included because they do not belong to a large car conglomerate.
