Wessel is expected to have meetings at the White House, then at the Pentagon as well as Congress.
His visit to the U.S. has started by staying in Iowa where he met leaders of the Iowa National Guard from which he received support for the military.
He will stay in New York, where he will have meetings with the Albanian community.
Wessel's visit to the US comes at a sensitive time of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, after the 100 per cent tax is imposed
