Wesley Clark has asked whether Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan defeated US President Donald Trump in his decision to remove American troops from Syria on Monday.
“does not seem to have any strategic reasons for the decision. And if there is no strategic reason for the decision, then you should ask: ”, said retired US Army General and former Commander of the Commander NATO for CNN.
“People around the world are looking for this and some of our friends and our allies in the Middle East are looking for, Erdogan blackmailed the president, was there any profit or something? The recommendations were against him”, he added.
Former NATO Supreme Commander General Clark also said he is “deeply concerned about withdrawing US from Syria because “does not seem to have any strategic reason for the” decision.
