The presidents of Kosovo and Serbia, Hashim Thaci and Aleksandar Vuciq, have done much work with each other these days. After the extraordinary UN Security Council meeting, they will be together at a table called by EU High Official Federica Moghrini.
The meeting in Brussels will be of a special format, as three presidents and three prime ministers of Western Balkan countries will be invited, writes Gazetatro.net.
It is about the presidents of Kosovo, Serbia and Montenegro, as well as the prime ministers of Albania, Macedonia and Bosnia.
The meeting, to be held on December 19th (morrow), has confirmed Vuciqi himself two nights ago when asked about the commitment to lower tensions between Pristina and Belgrade.
However, it is taught that only Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has so far not confirmed the participation due to mass protests in Albania, while the other guests will be in Brussels tomorrow.
At this table, where six heads of state are expected to participate, discussion will be aimed at reducing tensions between Kosovo and Serbia following recent developments. Vuciq also said the meeting is thought to have this character.
Otherwise, it is the first time Federica Moghrin has invited leaders of Western Balkan states to this combined format. Earlier there were separate meetings of presidents and prime ministers, but not combined.
