Turkish President Recep Tayip Erdogan said today he will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss withdrawing American troops from Syria.
However, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Putin is not planning to meet with Erdogan.
According to CNN Turk, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu will travel to Russia in the coming days to discuss the withdrawal of the US from Syria, Kosova Prees broadcast.
Erdogan's spokesman yesterday said Turkey would boost co-operation with Russia in Syria, following the US decision to withdraw troops from that country.
