The Parliamentary Investigative Commission has concluded with an interview of witnesses who have had information about the expulsion of six Turkish citizens from Kosovo to Turkey during March 2018.
This Commission is investigating the circumstances for lighting procedures that led to the expulsion of these Turkish citizens from Kosovo.
According to members, this commission is currently in the phase of testing reviews and the report will then be compiled and sent to the Kosovo Assembly.
MP Jelal Svecla, chairman of this commission, said large numbers of irregularities have been identified, but has not wanted to provide more information about what concrete irregularities are.
However, he has indicated that during this week the report is expected to be sent to the Office of the Secretary of the Kosovo Assembly.
We are in the testing phase, the moment the evidence is reviewed, the report is normally compiled with it and it goes to the plenary session. Then I can talk about the evidence. There are a large number of irregularities, but I can't talk about them, since the” report has not been compiled, Svechla said.
The Investigative Commission, which has been operational in July, has so far interviewed Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, officials of the Kosovo Police Inspectorate and former Police Director Shpend Maximu, currently director of AKI. Former director of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency Driton Gashi, currently secretary at the Kosovo Presidency. Former Interior Minister Flamur Sefaj and Infrastructure Minister Pal Lekaj.
