The Foreign Ministry in the Kremlin has said it expects territories to return to Assad's forces, after announcing the withdrawal of American forces in the past week, a decision that surprised the Allies, prompting two resignations in the Trump office, writes Periscopi.
Turkey has said it is working with Washington for the withdrawal of American troops, but says it remains determined to eliminate US Kurdish allies from Manbiji in northern Syria.
Photographs today have been published proving that Turkey is transporting its military artillery to the border with Syria.
And Assad's troops and Russian forces have also begun landing on the front line around the city.
Yesterday, Russia's Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has stressed that territory east of Syria would have to be brought under control by the Syrian Government, under international law.
She has said she does not know details from the US troop withdrawal plan from Syria, but has added that the decision will help the peaceful agreement be implemented.
